Mentor Collective

How it works

If you’re a freshman, you’ll be matched with a mentor who will support you as you begin your journey at IU. If you’re an upperclassman, you’ll become a mentor and will share your knowledge and experience. For each scholar, this is a special opportunity to grow, build connections, and develop strategies that will impact your college career. 

You will be matched based on common interests, background, academics, and professional aspirations. To get started, register and complete an online survey. The Mentor Collective will then connect you with another student to facilitate conversations between mentors and mentees.

Mentors and mentees may discuss topics such as:

  • How do I get involved at IU?
  • How do I balance school, work, and having fun?
  • Where can I meet new people and build my network?
  • What can I do to prepare for a career?
