We help future Indiana University Bloomington scholars open doors to life-changing experiences.
Connecting You to IU Scholarships
We know firsthand the magic that happens when financial support provides opportunities that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
More than $30 million in IU grants and scholarships was awarded to first-year students in 2014. New students arrived with more than $22 million from external scholarships.
We administer only some of the many scholarships available to Indiana University Bloomington students, but we want to point you to as many funding opportunities as possible. That’s why this site includes many scholarships and funding resources that our office doesn’t oversee, such as IU school and departmental scholarships and non-IU scholarships—as well as information about funding beyond scholarships, like financial aid and grants.
54% of undergraduate students received grants or scholarship aid in 2013–14.
We understand that when it comes to financing a college education, students often need a mix of IU and external scholarships—and other forms of financial aid. We hope this site makes it easier for you to find them, as well as information about funding.
Welcoming the Best of the Best IU Scholars
In 2014, 1 out of every 3 new IU freshmen in 2014 were in the top 10% of their high school graduating classes, and 1 in every 4 were directly admitted to their program of choice.
IU Bloomington scholars join the ranks of Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, Rhodes Scholars, and many of the great thinkers, dreamers, and achievers of our time. Our entering classes keep getting smarter and more diverse.
Latino enrollment increased by 10% and African American enrollment increased by 7% in 2014.
We wish we could promise scholarship funds to to every deserving student. But as each entering class brings more talent to the table, competition for funding is increasingly competitive. That’s why it’s very important that you explore every funding option and apply to IU by November 1—the application deadline for maximum scholarship consideration.
