IU Academic Scholarships
Indiana University is dedicated to enrolling an enriched student body by valuing academic achievement and awarding merit scholarships.
IU Academic Scholarships are awarded to first-time incoming freshmen students based on high academic performance. Academic performance will be assessed based on information provided through the IU Admissions application, including official test scores and high school transcript information.
The Institute of International Education consistently ranks IU Bloomington as a top 10 college for overseas study.
The deadline for the IU Academic Scholarships and for maximum scholarship consideration is November 1. In order to be considered for these scholarships, students must submit a complete application for admission (including official test scores, high school transcript, and full senior year schedule) by this date. No additional application is required for these scholarships. IU Academic Scholarships are awarded based on academic information provided at the time of admission to IU.
The Dean’s Scholarship is an IU Academic Scholarship awarded to first-time incoming freshmen out-of-state students based on high academic performance.

The Provost's Scholarship is an IU Academic Scholarship awarded to first-time incoming freshmen Indiana resident students based on high academic performance.
If you met the November 1 IU application deadline, January 15th is the last day for IU to receive your updated test scores. Updated scores will be evaluated and notification will be made on a rolling basis for those who qualify. Only test scores received directly from the testing agency will be considered for scholarship and admission processes.
Your scholarship award notification will be mailed separately from the admission notification letter, approximately two to four weeks later.

Pathways Scholarship Program
Indiana University supports continuing education in graduate school by introducing the Pathways Scholarship Program.
Dean's or Provost's Scholarship recipients who graduate with their undergraduate degree in fewer than eight semesters may apply the remaining semesters of their Dean’s Scholarship or Provost’s Scholarship funding toward their graduate coursework at IU Bloomington. Continuous full-time enrollment from an IU Bloomington undergraduate program to an IU Bloomington graduate program is required. Interested students should complete this form to be reviewed for eligibility.
