Julian represented IU and won the College Week Edition of Wheel of Fortune.
In the spring of 2013, Julian Batts committed to Indiana University to pursue a degree from the Kelley School of Business. However, he did not think that in only a few years he would be able to call himself a Resident Assistant, Kelley Guide, or Scholarship Advisory Committee member. These organizational activities have balanced his academic commitments and allows him to explore a few of the many avenues of involvement at IU.
“Becoming involved in a variety of organizations has made me develop further interests I did not anticipate could arise in such a short time,” Julian said. “Interests such as recruitment, higher education, and residential life stem from being able to foster my experiences with these organizations in a positive manner.”
A unique memory for Julian includes representing Indiana University and winning the College Week Edition of Wheel of Fortune back in April 2014. Despite walking away a champion, Julian says the opportunity challenged him early as a young adult, but has made him a brighter and more positive-driven individual.
“The blessing of being able to represent IU on such a large platform was so rewarding. The experience has made me aware that no matter what challenge arises at Indiana University or in life, having a fully positive mindset can make it attainable to achieve success.”
