Emma studied abroad and interned in London, England.
If she could, Emma would go back to London tomorrow. The summer after her sophomore year studying journalism, Emma traveled to London, England, for an eight-week internship and study abroad program through the Media School.
She quickly learned London was more than rainy scenes from The Parent Trap. Yes, London was that famous Notting Hill door, but the city was so much more. London was commuting to work on the crowded Tube. London was lazy Sundays in Kensington Gardens and afternoons strolling through Borough, Portobello, Brick Lane and Camden markets.
“I could picture myself living in London,” Emma said. “If it wasn’t for this experience, I would have never been able to appreciate the culture as much as I do now.”
While enjoying the beautiful city, Emma reported for a small magazine, adding to her portfolio and making valuable connections. Maybe in a few years, she’ll end up back in the city of kings and queens.
